Founded in 2001, the School of Tourism and Culture has two departments, Department of Tourism Management and Department of Aviation Services, as well as one Institute of Tourism Planning and Cultural Industry, one National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot Development Research Center and one Tourism Management Teaching Laboratory. At present, the school has two undergraduate majors, Tourism Management and Art and Management of Aviation Services, and three master’s degree programs, including Cultural Tourism Management, Vocational and Technical Education and Master of Tourism Administration. The school has a total of 45 faculty members, and 36 are full-time teachers, including 5 professors, 11 associate professors. Among them, 20 have doctoral degrees, 3 are Ph. D supervisors, and 18 are MA supervisors. In addition, it has 1151 undergraduates and 53 master students.
Taking “school-government-enterprise and industry-university-research” as education and training mode, the school aims to deliver excellence in the aspects of national cultural tourism, tourism design and planning, research travel, tourism big data management, aviation services and management. So far, a significant breakthrough has been achieved in the teaching and scientific research. They are:

The school faculties have successively carried out 11 national scientific research projects, 25 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, more than 20 research projects on education and teaching reform, as well as over 50 other sorts of projects entrusted by the local governments or departments at different levels.
They have published 13 academic monographs and teaching textbooks, won 7 provincial and ministerial Outstanding Social Sciences Awards and 1 Second Prize for Provincial Teaching Accomplishment Award.
