The School of Logistics Management and Engineering of Nanning Normal University was founded in May 2014. It owns 3 undergraduate majors in Logistics Management, Information Engineering and Information Systems, logistics engineering, 1 first-level discipline master’s degree authorization in “management science and engineering”, 1 professional master degree in vocational and technical education (finance and trade). The faculty has set up 3 departments of Logistics Management, Information Engineering and Logistics Engineering, 3 Teaching Departments, 1 Intelligent Logistics Experimental Teaching Center, together with the Institute of Modern Logistics and E-commerce, Guangxi Key Laboratory of Human-Computer Interaction and Intelligent Decision-making, and the Faculty of Intelligent Logistics Industry, a model Undergraduate Institute of Modern Industry in Guangxi. The logistics management major is a national first-class undergraduate professional construction unit. In the ranking of logistics management majors of Chinese universities (data from iResearch Shenzhen Alumni Association Network), the logistics management major of Nanning Normal University ranks 13th in the country and the 1st in Guangxi province.

The school has 31 faculty members, including 5 professors, 7 associate professors, 16 doctoral degree teachers (including prospective ones), and 9 master’s supervisors. In recent years, the projects undertaken by the teachers of the college have been awarded more than 10 provincial and ministerial teaching and scientific research prizes, including 1 special prize, 5 second prizes and 2 third prizes of the Autonomous Region Teaching Achievement Award; 2 second prizes of the Guangxi Science and Technology Progress Award item; 2 third prizes of Guangxi Social Science Award. It has obtained 9 projects for undergraduate teaching reform projects in higher education in Guangxi and 4 projects for vocational education and teaching reform in Guangxi.

The faculty has obtained more than 40 longitudinal scientific research projects at or above the departmental level, including 10 national projects and more than 20 provincial and ministerial projects, and 5 horizontal projects, with a total research funding of more than 6 million yuan; more than 10 monographs and textbooks and more than 100 academic papers have been published, including 50 and above SCI and SSCI papers, and 30 more teaching reform papers. With 17 patents and 5 software copyrights, the faculty has an important influence and academic status in the same subject area of universities inside and outside Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The faculty actively carries out school-enterprise cooperation, collaborative education, and collaborative innovation with the government, scientific research institutes, industry associations, companies and enterprises, and is an important base for Guangxi's local economic development and the cultivation of innovative talents.
