With a history that dates back to the Department of Physics established in 1978, the School experienced the Department of Physics & Electronic Information Science in 2003, the School of Physics & Electronic Engineering in 2009, and the School of Physics & Electronics in 2019.

The School has a total of 60 faculties, and 48 of them are full-time teachers, including 24 professors and associate professors. Among them, 22 teachers have doctoral degrees, 1 is Ph. D supervisors, 19 are MA supervisors. In addition, 7 teachers won honors, awards and sponsorship.

 The school consists of five undergraduate programs, including Physics, Electronic Information Engineering, Communication Engineering, Automation, and Applied Electronic Technology Education. Theoretical Physics is a key discipline in Guangxi Higher Institutions and Computational Physics is a key and featured discipline in Guangxi Higher Institutions. Electronic Information Engineering is selected as the national first-class undergraduate specialty and Physics is selected as the Guagnxi first-class undergraduate specialty.

The school also boasts MA programs in Information and Communication Engineering,  Curriculum and Teaching Theory (physics, information technology) and Electronic Information.

 School of Intelligent Logistics Management and Modern Industries (jointly built with School of Logistics Management and Engineering) is one of the first demonstration schools of undergraduate teaching in Guangxi colleges and universities.

Taking “student-centered” as its motto, the school aims to deliver excellence in building innovative spirit and practical ability, highlighting study processes and methods, and serving comprehensive and coordinated development in knowledge, ability and quality. the school built a Key Laboratory of New Electrical Functional Materials of Guangxi Higher Institutions, Guangxi Electronic Technology Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and Guangxi Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center. And the school won the second prize of “Award of Guangxi Teaching Achievements in Higher Education”

In recent years, the school has undertaken more than 10 projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and our teachers have published high-level papers in excellent international academic journals with SCI IF (Impact Factor) >7.000 . The school also won the second prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Award.
