Introduction to The Youth League Committee     

The Youth League Committee of China NNNU Committee, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China NNNU Committee and the Communist Youth League of China Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee, does the following: follows the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; implements fully the guiding principles of the Party’s 19th National Congress, the second through six plenary sessions of the 19th Party Central Committee and the 18th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China; gives central importance to cultivating talents to make contributions to the country’s reform under the motto “Integrate Virtue with Learning and Combine Knowledge with Practice” ; maintains and strengthens its political and advanced nature, as well as ensures and expands mass participation in it; rallies and leads members of the Communist Youth League of the university to build NNNU into a high-level normal university with distinctive regional characteristics.  

Its main responsibilities include: cultivating members of the Communist Youth League, which is the immutable aim of the Communist Youth League of China NNNU Committee; drawing strength from building the university’s brand and developing new ways of working; rallying and educating young students; implementing the Party's youth work policy, cultivating outstanding students and recommending the excellent students to join the Party; developing young students’ comprehensive quality and making campus cultural life more colorful.

According to the work priorities of the Communist Party of China NNNU Committee and the university’s administration body, other responsibilities that the Communist Youth League of China NNNU Committee has include:

1. Educating young people on the Party’s ideals and convictions;

2. Implementing the specific requirements of Party building and Youth League building, gathering information from college Youth League branches, collecting League membership dues, training League cadres, and appraising and selecting  excellent members of the Youth League;

3. Guiding the Student Union, Graduate Union and students societies;

4. Offering guidance to students of the university in managing, selecting, submitting and implementing social practice projects;  

5. Organizing students to participate in various voluntary service activities,;

6.Holding diverse cultural activities such as theme activities held in Youth League branches, and recreational and sports activities, as well as completing other tasks assigned by the CPC NNNU Committee and the organization of Communist Youth League of higher level.

The Communist Youth League of China NNNU Committee consists of three departments: Social Practice Department, Youth League Affairs Management Department and Community Management Department. There are 21,812 members, 22 grass-roots Youth League committees and 612 grass-roots Youth League branches.

Introduction to the Student Union of Nanning Normal University

The Student Union of Nanning Normal University is an organization of students under the leadership of the Communist Party of China NNNU Committee and the specific guidance of the Office of Student Affairs and the Communist Youth League NNNU Committee. It remains committed to the fundamental purpose of serving students wholeheartedly, serves as a bond between students and the university management, and subjects itself to the oversight of teachers and students.

The Student Union abides by the the student union reform requirements by adopting the mode of "presidium+executive departments" in its organizational structure. There are five members in the presidium, exploring ways to implement a rotation system, and a general secretary. Besides, the Student Union consists of six departments including Secretariat, Publicity Department, Learning Department, Public Relations Department, Recreation and Sports Department, and Department for Students’ Rights and Interests, with 2-3 heads and 5-6 staff members in each department.

Based on the university’s motto "Integrate Virtue with Learning and Combine Knowledge with Practice", the Student Union aims to enhance ideological work and cadre training, improve campus culture, protect students’ rights and interests, and strengthen team building.

The Student Union carried out a series of excellent activities including the construction of style of study, social practice and cultural education to foster a favorable environment for campus culture and enrich students' campus life. All these efforts will achieve all-round development of character, intelligence, physical health, aesthetic taste and labour skills in NNNU students, provide a platform for students to show themselves, and make contributions toward building NNNU into a high-level normal university with distinctive regional characteristics and realizing the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
