School of Physical Education and Health（SPEH）was established in 2003. After more than 20 years of development, it has become an important base for training physical education teachers and a school sports research center in Guangxi.

The school has two undergraduate programs, namely Physical Education and Social Sports Guidance and Management, with nearly 900 full-time undergraduates. And it has three graduate programs: Humanities and Sociology of Physical Education,  Physical Education Teaching and Physical Education. There are nearly 100 full-time graduate students in the school. The school has 56 faculty members, including 45 full-time teachers, 24 with senior academic title, 10 with doctoral degree, 1 doctoral supervisor and 16 master supervisors. Currently, it has the following research institutes and platforms for public service: China-ASEAN Vocational Education Research Center, Guangxi Vocational Education Development Research Center, Guangxi Undergraduate Education Development Research Center, Guangxi Sporting Events Research Center, Guangxi Competitive Handball Backup Talent Training Base, IAAF Children’s Track and Field Promotion Base, Autonomous Region Demonstration Base for Teacher Education, Guangxi Postgraduate Joint Training Base, Guangxi Social Sports Instructors Training Base, and National Qualification Training Institution for Guangxi Sports Industry. The school has a good reputation for training highly qualified sportsmen, among whom are “Asian Flying Woman”-Wei Yongli, who is now an athlete of Chinese National Track and Field Team and Liu Heng, the coach of Chinese National Table Tennis Team. Among the faculty members, there are 2 world champions and 1 Asian champion.

In recent years, the teachers of the school actively participated in international exchanges and held positions in international sports academic organizations, including the consultant of Global Community Health Foundation, the executive member of the committee of BRICS Sports Science Society in China, and the executive member of the committee of Asian Sports Society in China, etc.
