The Trad Union of Nanning Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the Trad Union ) was established in August 1979, with 36 divisions and more than 2,000 staff members on the payroll at present. Currently the eighth Trad UnionCommittee, elected by its general assembly or representative assembly, is divided into three working committees: the committee for fund inspection, female faculty and young faculty.

The Trad Union was honored as the "National Model Home of Workers " by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions in September 1988. In July 2021, the Trad Union successfully passed the acceptance review of the "National Model Home of Workers " as it worked methodically according to laws and regulations and has achieved remarkable results.

In recent years, under the correct leadership and auspices of the trad unions of higher level, CPC NNNU Committee and the university’s governing body, and with the cooperation of every schools, departments and faculty members, the Staff Union have fully implemented the underlying theories, basic guidelines, and fundamental policies of our Party. With a commitment to the working scheme of seeking development with a holistic view, making great efforts to serve those working on the ground and to directly benefit the faculty and staff, the Trad Union has strengthened the university’s democratic leadership, teachers’ professional ethics, and improved the union itself. The Trad Unionhas taken extensive action in bringing compassion to those in need, and built assistance mechanisms. It worked to safeguard the lawful rights and interests of the faculty. All these efforts will maintain and strengthen the political and advanced nature of the Staff Union, as well as ensure and expand mass participation in it, thus rallying and leading the faculty of NNNU to build a high-level normal university with distinctive regional characteristics.
