The United Front Work Department is the staff institution, organization and coordination institution, specific executive institution, supervision and inspection institution of the Party Committee in the United front work. We undertake the responsibilities of understanding the situation, mastering policies, coordinating relations, arranging personnel, enhancing consensus, strengthening unity, etc., mainly being responsible for formulating and implementing the school United front work plan, guiding and urging the second-tier institutions to implement the United front work tasks; we contact all democratic parties, representatives without party affiliation, deputies to people's congresses at all levels and CPPCC members to provide services for them to perform their duties; we also cooperate with relevant departments to do a good job in training, inspecting, selecting and recommending non-party cadres, non-party representatives and non-party intellectuals, and strengthen team building; we work with relevant departments to do a good job in the United front work of overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and returned overseas students, coordinate and guide the school's non-party intellectual association, overseas students association, overseas Chinese Federation and other groups to carry out their work and implement the principles and policies of higher authorities on ethnic and religious work.
